The Roboticist website is intended to collect and make available useful resources for others who may be interested in starting an after school robotics program. It is all so the place where we list our classes and programs for students to get experience with the Art of Robotics.
The Robotics Programs represented here and the The Roboticist website are part of a set of programs and broader goals of the Learning Access Institute , a Seattle not-for-profit Private Operating Foundation, to provide increased access to digital and knowledge based skills for all citizens in the 21st Century.
Here you will find collections of sample lessons, exercises, teaching guides and other useful material to help you be successful in teaching and coaching robotics using Lego Mindstorms, Lego WeDo, VEX-IQ, Arduino, Tetrix and other robotics tools and sets, either as part of your classroom or as an after school program.
Many of the samples found here are the result of the CoeBotics after school program at the Coe Elementary School in Seattle and experiences gained teaching a set of summer camps both at Coe, Lopez Island and Central Washington University. While these examples have worked well, you may need to adopt them to fit your local situation.
